Okay, it's Independence Day today. Yesterday was our monthsary. And every 11th of the month, my wifey and I have this habit of not missing to greet each other. But since guys really have the tendency to forget dates, I had to put it on my phone's reminder. And I set it to alarm at 4 am, so that I would be the first to greet her. Maro! (That's Cebuano for clever)
Independence Day for me means more than what our ancestors did for our freedom. In this present age, "independence" means a couple not having to rely on each other in terms of finances. My wife is independent, I should say, since she has a job. She's earning well.
So, I joyfully greeted my wifey this morning a very "Happy Independence Day!". Hahahahah!
On a different note, I kinda missed a lot from our monthsary celebration yesterday. Usually, I prepare something special like a dinner out. But didn't have the luxury of time. Too bad though, I wasn't able to prepare myself too. Grrr.
For the independent women out there, here 's something you should let your MAN learn... shaving his own thing!

10 Unbelievable Fairy Tale & Cartoon Discoveries
Here are 10 things you might know about your favorite fairy tales and animated stories. Unbelievable discoveries are found on Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and The Lion King to name a few.
“SEX” on The Lion King
This was all over the internet when this discovery came out. The visual effects team of the movie explained that they purposely formed the clouds into the word “S-F-X”, as in special effects, as a signature. That did look like S-E-X.
Belle and Pumba Show Up on Hunchback
Cameo appearances are no longer new to Disney movies. In fact, there are some cameo appearances by Toy Story characters in the movie Monsters, Inc. In 1996, Disney invited Belle and Pumba into the set. Supposedly, in a scene, Belle is reading a book, 2 men are carrying Pumba, and there’s a guy rolling out the carpet for Aladdin. Naked Woman on The Rescuers
Disney admitted that the image of a naked woman in the background of a scene from the movie The Rescuers was in indeed there. There is a re-mastered version of the 70s animated picture which had already pulled out the image. The lesson though, never hire a pervert animator for a children’s movie.
Priest Gets a Hard-On
Here is another one, but this time wasn’t it purposely done? In the scene, where a disguising Ursula gets to marry Eric, the Minister seems to be having an erection. Disney explains though that the bulge was in fact his bending knee, for which the animators straightened out on the following frames.
This and the following items don’t have anything to do with hidden image, but with the original story.
Snow White and Her Internal Organs
In the popular Snow White, the queen orders the huntsman to kill the princess and bring back her heart as a proof. In the original Snow White, the queen didn’t ask for the heart, but for the lungs and the liver. And further asks the huntsman to serve the internal organs for dinner.
Little Red Hiding Hood Wasn’t Saved
The woodsman, in the French variation of the story, never saved the girl in red hood. In fact, there was no grandma, no woodsman, only a smart but stupid girl who takes the advice of a deceptive hungry wolf. The ending is tragic, the wolf eats the girl.
Cinderella and Her 2 Desperate Step Sisters
In their attempt to win the attention of the prince, the 2 step sisters of Cinderella cut off some parts of their feet just to be able to fit into the glass slipper. This is according to the original version of the Grimm Brothers.
Little Mermaid Is Already Dead
Little Mermaid, like all other fairy tales punctuated with the cliché “and they all lived happily ever after” ending. Not with the original version though. On the later part of the story, Ariel would see Eric marrying another princess and to her despair attempts to kill him. But since she cannot do it, she throws herself to ocean and dies.
Goldilocks and the Three Man-Eating Bears
This is what we know of the story, Goldilocks breaks into the house of bears, sits on their table, eats the food on their table, and falls asleep. The bears arrive, Goldilocks wakes up and escapes. Poor Goldilocks, in the original story, was caught by the bears, gets ripped into pieces, and was served as dinner.
Queen Dies of Dancing Hot Iron Shoes
This is another entry from the Snow White fairy tale. The ending of original version had the queen dancing to her death while wearing a pair of hot iron shoes.
Sleeping Beauty Was Raped
Sleeping Beauty didn’t wake up from a sweet kiss of a prince. When the prince discovered the sleeping princess, he fantasized and, guess what, took advantage of the situation. Sleeping Beauty, in the original story, got pregnant while in deep slumber, and gave birth. And it happened twice. One of the kids sucked her mother’s finger, waking up the sleeping princess to her surprise that she had been raped and had bore 2 children.

Yes, one of the most celebrated AI finalists has his version of "No Boundaries" - the winning piece this season. Adam, with his unique and edgy vocal style, gave the song an interesting texture, quite different from that of Kris Allen's . I can't say the other's rendition is better than the other, but if Adam had won, I would still be loving the song.Rumors have it that Paula Abdul will be leaving American Idol and that the recently capped off season would be her last. Apparently, this rumor had something to do with Paula's disagreement of having a fourth judge on the show, which she stated February this year.
Paul didn't like the idea of having a fourth judge since it would drag the show. Paula gave some hints that she's up to something next year. And my guess is that for the benefit of the show and Kara, she might be really leaving.

10 Amazing Un-photoshopped Photos
With Photoshop these days, making yourself look like Brad Pitt or changing the color of your skin are a breeze. Some photos though are just so amazing to be true. You might wanna take a second look at the images below.
Animal Cloud Formations - I have seen heart-shaped clouds before, and amazing cloudscapes formed by passing jets, but this one isn't photoshoped. Click on the image to enlarge.
Giant Rubber Duck - the culprit was an artist who realized rubber ducks are not made for bath tubs only.
Furniture from Nature - green is in! If you want to save trees and plants, the answer is arborsculpture. It's an art of forming trees into objects by twisting the branches and twigs by means of metal guides.
Spooky Forest - a production set for a horror movie or is it Spiderman going wild. But even if it wasn't photoshopped, the webs are still real. This was the work of arachnids overpopulating the trees.
Goat-bearing Tree - or a Christmas tree ornamented with goats. Whatever it is, both the tree and the goats are real. In fact the whole photo is real. Hungry desert goats learn to climb trees in order to survive.
Kryptonite Cave - was this inspired by the movie or was the movie inspired by this. Scientists say minerals, water, and temperature contribute to this amazing formation.
Giant Twister - actually it's a natural phenomenon. In some cases, clouds form like giant mushrooms or saucers, which probably explain some of the UFO sightings.
A Dangerous Experiment - I am not sure if this falls in the most amazing un-photoshopped photos category. But I couldn't believe this kid had really pointed that knife into that outlet. I wonder what happened to the child after this.
Chicken Thought It Was A Worm - this was an actual clip from an old newspaper. The article reported that the boy stuck out his private part on that hole, I am not sure what for. But I'm sure it was a lucky day for the mother hen. Poor boy.

It seems that everything around us resembles something. But cameras don't lie as they say. Unless you photoshop them.
